This preparation is ideal to share as a couple, in a romantic dinner, with friends and family, or prepare it for yourself since we always deserve to pamper ourselves.

What are the ingredients to make a pink sauce pasta?
  • 400 gm of pasta (preferably mustachones for better absorption of the sauce)
  • 3 cloves of garlic (finely chop them or you can make a garlic paste)
  • 1 onion chopped into small cubes
  • 4 large and ripe tomatoes (can be replaced by tomato puree 400 g)
  • ½ cup of chicken broth (can be replaced by water)
  • 2 tsp of olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp of ground dried oregano
  • ½ of sour cream
  • 1 cup of cream cheese (optional, but if you add more creaminess)
  • 1 tsp of fresh albaca
  • Parmesan cheese to taste
  • Ingredients for the breaded chicken
  • 4 chicken breasts (filleted correctly)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1 tsp of sweet paprika
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs, add parmesan for more flavor
Instructions for cooking pasta in pink sauce and breaded chicken
    To cook the pasta
  1. Place a pot with boiling water and salt and bring it to a boil, then add the pasta of your choice, give it the time indicated in the instructions of the pasta and remove it when it is al dente.

  2. After the pasta is al dente, remove all the water by reserving 1 cup of the cooking water

  3. To prepare the pink sauce
  4. If you are using fresh tomatoes, blend them with the chicken broth until you get a soft and silky puree.

  5. In a sauté, heat olive oil and add the onion and garlic until it gives off all its aroma.

  6. Add the already liquefied tomato puree (or the tomato puree you bought) and stir occasionally for about 5 minutes

  7. Lower the heat and add the sour cream along with the cream cheese, stir until everything is well incorporated.

  8. Season with salt, pepper and oregano. Add some of the pasta cooking water and let it cook for 5 more minutes.

  9. Add the pasta to the pink sauce and let it cook for 3 minutes until the flavors of the sauce are well incorporated into the pasta.

  10. For the breaded chicken
  11. Season the chicken with salt and pepper

  12. On a flat plate, beat the two eggs, add paprika

  13. In another flat plate add the flour

  14. And in another dish add the breadcrumbs

  15. Pass the chicken breasts one by one, first by egg, then by flour and finally by the breadcrumbs

  16. Heat a sauté with plenty of oil over medium-high heat and cook for 4 minutes from side to side

  17. Place the chicken on absorbent paper and let it drain

  18. To serve
  19. Serve the pasta on a plate with the breaded chicken cut delicately on top of the pasta. Garnish with grated Parmesan to taste and enjoy.
